These are the Pro versions of the popular Mid-Size Easy Hollowers with American Maple handles that are 6" longer than the other Mid-Size Hollowers providing better leverage significantly reducing fatigue. Patented Easy Wood Tools Hollowers are designed to offer a fresh, new approach to hollowing wood vessels. The flat tool bar on these Hollowers are designed to be kept level and flat on the toot rest. The cutter is moved straight into the work and swept side to side removing material. This approach greatly simplifies the vessel hollowing learning curve with no complicated cutter angles to learn and constantly adjust while turning. Easy Wood Hollowers allows any skill level to achieve professional results with minimal effort. These can safely extend 6-8” past the tool rest. These Hollowers come loaded with a round Ci3 carbide cutter. When it gets dull, loosen the screw, rotate the cutter 1/4 turn to get a sharp, fresh cut. You will never need to perform complicated lathe tool sharpening procedures ever again! The round cutter is specially designed with the optimal grind, geometry and grade of carbide to excel at woodturning.
Easy Wood Tools Easy Hollowers are great for under-cutting hollow forms. The #1 Hollower accomplishes the initial stage in creating hollow forms- boring the center hole and removing the bulk of material in the center of the vessel. The #2 Hollower then cleans out the intermediate and sides of the vessel and prepares to undercut the rim. Finally, the #3 Hollower clears out and undercuts the sides and rim of the vessel. Tool bars are CNC precision machined stainless steel.
