This vise is perfect for light duty woodworking tasks. It will easily and quickly mount to the underside of any workbench up to 1-1/2" thick via four 1/4" mounting holes. The jaws tilt in at the top slightly to ensure a tight grip on your work piece. Made from quality cast iron with baked on finish. Top and sides of jaws are ground flat and square. Jaw width is 6". Maximum jaw opening of 4-1/4". Jaw depth of 2". Wood jaws can be installed via pre-drilled holes to protect delicate work pieces. Precision ground Acme screw, spindle and guide bars are chrome plated to prevent corrosion.
