Description

SLOW-CURE™ 30 min. epoxy works best for forming reinforcing fillets on joints. It has the highest strength of our epoxies. It is waterproof and more heat resistant. SLOW-CURE™ can be used for bonding if you’re willing to wait overnight. Fillers such as microballoons can be mixed with SLOW-CURE™ and FINISH-CURE™ to form a putty-like consistency. Such fillers will usually decrease the working time by about 25%. Bonded objects can be handled after 8 hours and the cured epoxy reaches full strength within 24 hours.

MID-CURE™ 15 min. epoxy is used in larger areas where more working time is needed. It is more water resistant and can be used as a substitute for QUIK-CURE™ in most applications. MID-CURE™ is our most flexible epoxy and is ideal for gluing to fiberglass surfaces. Allow 45 minutes before handling parts and 2 hours for full strength.

QUIK-CURE™ 5 min. epoxy cures to a slightly flexible consistency. This lack of brittleness allows it to form a lasting bond in areas subjected to high vibration or stress. QUIK-CURE™ shouldn’t be used in areas that are subject to long-term immersion in water; however, it works fine for the internal structure of wood framed boats. QUIK-CURE™ is our only epoxy on which you can apply polyester resins. It can be mixed with microballoons to form a quick setting putty. Items bonded with QUIK-CURE™ can be handled after 15 minutes. Full strength is reached in 1 hour.

Directions for SLOW-CURE™: SLOW-CURE™ 30 min. Epoxy is an equal two-part hobby adhesive that forms high strength bonds through a chemical reaction between the resin and hardener. The cured epoxy is resistant to most chemicals. SLOW-CURE™ has the highest strength of our epoxies and should be applied in temperatures above 70°F. SLOW-CURE™ maintains it’s strength in both the lowest and highest temperature ranges of our line of epoxies.

SLOW-CURE™ bonds best to clean, textured surfaces. Smooth, non-porous surfaces should be roughened with coarse sandpaper to improve adhesion. Acetone and Isopropyl rubbing alcohol work as the best solvents for cleaning uncured epoxy from surfaces. SLOW-CURE™ works best for forming reinforcing fillets on joints and can be mixed with microballons or other fillers to form putty-like consistency. SLOW-CURE™ is waterproof and forms superior bonds if you’re willing to wait overnight. It has better penetration of porous surfaces for better bonding. Full cure in 6-8 hours.

Directions for MID-CURE™: MID-CURE™ 15 min. Epoxy is an equal two-part hobby adhesive that forms high strength bonds through a chemical reaction between the resin and hardener. The cured epoxy is resistant to most chemicals.

MID-CURE™ should be applied in temperatures above 65˚F. It can be used in most applications when you need more working time than QUIK-CURE™ provides. MID-CURE™ can be worked for about 10 minutes, with adhesion beginning after about 15 minutes.

MID-CURE™ bonds best to clean, textured surfaces. Smooth, non-porous surfaces should be roughened with coarse sandpaper to improve adhesion. Acetone and Isopropyl rubbing alcohol work as the best solvents for cleaning uncured epoxy from surfaces. MID-CURE™ is our most flexible epoxy. This gives it superior bonding qualities in applications such as hardwood to fiberglass. MID-CURE'S™ lack of brittleness allows it to form lasting bonds in areas subject to high vibration or stress. MID-CURE™ is a water-resistant substitute for MID-CURE™. Full cure in 2-3 hours.

Directions for QUIK-CURE™: QUIK-CURE™ 5 min. Epoxy is an equal two-part hobby adhesive that forms high strength bonds through a chemical reaction between the resin and hardener. The cured epoxy is resistant to most chemicals.

QUIK-CURE™ is the least temperature sensitive of our epoxies. It will cure in temperatures down to 40˚F. Temperatures above 90˚F shorten the working time before the epoxy begins to set up from 5 to less than 4 minutes.

QUIK-CURE™ bonds best to clean, textured surfaces. Smooth, non-porous surfaces should be roughened with coarse sandpaper to improve adhesion. Acetone and Isopropyl rubbing alcohol work as the best solvents for cleaning uncured epoxy from surfaces. QUIK-CURE'S™ lack of brittleness allows it to form lasting bonds on materials as different as balsa wood and glass; however, it is not recommended for areas subject to long-term immersion in water. Cured QUIK-CURE™ can be coated with polyester resin without affecting the curing of the resin. Full cure in less than 15 minutes.
