With continued use, the hook attachment on all random orbital sanders will eventually wear out and lose its grip. Replacing an entire sander pad assembly can be costly and time consuming. Rather than buy and replace an entire sander pad assembly, use one of these cost-effective protector pads instead. Simply stick a protector pad to the hook and loop pad on your sander and allow all the wear and tear to be on the protector pad instead of your sander. The protector pad also provides additional cushioning allowing the sander to conform to slight imperfections in the wood surface producing a better finish.
